Become a Mentor.

Do you want to give back, share your experience, and help young people achieve their goals? Join The Skills Spot as a Volunteer Mentor and make a meaningful impact on a young person’s life.

About Our Mentoring Programme

Our mentoring programme pairs passionate professionals with young people aged 16–24 who are navigating their next steps in work, education, or personal development. Through regular one-to-one sessions, mentors provide guidance, motivation, and a listening ear – boosting confidence and inspiring growth.

Whether you’ve climbed the career ladder, started your own business, or simply want to support someone on their journey, mentoring is a powerful way to give back, grow your leadership skills, and help shape future talent.

As a Mentor, you’ll:

  • Support a young person to explore and reach their career or personal goals

  • Share your knowledge and lived experiences in a positive, constructive way

  • Build confidence, raise aspirations, and provide encouragement

  • Help expand their professional network and real-world understanding
